The Department of Psychology at North Bengal St. Xavier’s College, Rajganj, embarked on its journey in 2023. Initially introduced as an elective subject in 2018, psychology has since evolved into a comprehensive and independent department, offering both Major and Minor courses in the discipline. This progression reflects the growing recognition of psychology as a vital field of study, reinforcing the department’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.
The department is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of human behaviour, cognition, and mental health through a scientific, ethical, and holistic approach.
